He wears a Cappa Magna and a Galero! What joy fills my heart to see a Cardinal embrace such Continuity! This is a sacred sign and a reminder to us also. He is also quite the inspiration to young people – the amount of seminarians his diocese has has rocketed since he became Archbishop there.
We nearly had Cardinal Keith O’brien in a Cappa Magna at an ordination once – but I doubt he will be seen in a Cappa Magna ever sadly, after the recent confessions from him.
The Church may not be a democracy, but I’ll pray for Cardinal Burke certainly (he’s my adopted Cardinal). He is so orthodox, and very inspiring when he speaks. Certainly a man of God in my eyes. Join me in praying for him!
